Final Found Object

IMG_0738

In the final Found Object image I have collected things that have accumulated on the kitchen table that belong to other people. In this image the use of colour is especially important, as the lighting affects how the green is reflected in the glass with the orange ball. These then contrast with the different colours of the cards and stationary. The lighting used also influences where shadows are being cast: especially the fanning affect of the glass. In the image I wanted to put many different objects together to give them a different meaning, as you wouldn’t necessarily always find these things together. I also wanted there to be a sense of sporadic disorganisation, as the objects are randomly placed.

Final Portrait

The reason I chose this portrait to be the final one was because first of all, the depth of field and focus make the subject (the man in this case) stand out. With a low aperture and so a shallow depth of field, it brings the man into focus and the background is blurred. The difference in the colours in what the man is wearing also make the image interesting; the blues contrast from the neutral greens and browns of the background. The way the man is standing is also something to note as his body is not facing the camera, this could imply it is a more natural stance. His facial expression also does not have a lot of emotion, perhaps suggesting this is a natural environment. When researching different photographers, I found my portraiture work echoed similar traits to Ronya Galker, in the way of taking the portrait in the street and the usage of depth of field.
